Mixmaster Precise
About
The Original Precise, birthed & raised in Philadelphia Pa., he began his career start quite as one might call "by accident", which was based upon the one & only Parliament Funkadelic group.
He attributed his name to his late brother, Lamont B. Booker(RIP), aka DJ Bad aka Thee Master Mixologist aka The Nervous Dj aka The Mad Drummer. He recants how they both were in the military, U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Irwin Ca., back in 1983, when DJ Bad(RIP), thought of the appropriately fitting name of Precise, initially Mr. Precise, which later transitioned to Dj Precise.
In short, the name was given due to the fact that Precise did not start as most Dj's start out on turntables of some sort, but, that was not the case here, as Precise started out on a cassette recorder, then a few years later, double cassette recorder.
This was truly significant as Precise had a truly unique style, whereas anyone listening to any of his innovative mixtapes would stand on the fact that it was done utilizing turntables with seamless mixes and remixing. it was said that he would tediously spend from 8 to 9 hours in order to create a 90 minute mixtape, henceforth the birth of Dj Precise.
This venture led to playing for private affairs, mixtapes, and clubs on military bases, and off base as well.
As the adventures unfolded for Precise, his status was elevated to Mixmaster Precise, and unbeknownst to him, online radio was to be the next echelon in 2016. Due to his uniqueness, stations were blessed to have new listeners amass, one station acknowledged that his shows brought in as much as 20k listeners within one month of being on the station.
Years later, his beloved brother, acknowledged by many music lovers, as a LEGEND, transioned in 2021, in Berlin Germany, and mixmaster Precise stated how the absence of missing his brother is truly felt, but, he holds dear to the many many memories, and he pays homage to his late brother, who gave him tutelage, thereby enhancing the true scope of Precise.
