He's shouting his mouth off about how great he is at the moment and i'd tend to agree with him. However i know a lot of people think he's just as concerned with his haircut as he is with his mixing.

So what does everyone think, has his ego gotten so big there's no turning back or will he be remembered in a 100 years for revolutionising electronic music.

He's a legend either way.
Allthoug I liked him more when he played his old and harder style.
But whaterver he plays I like it anyway.
Hawtin doesn' just play techno, he is techno:)

I have to agree to this one.

His old style with the pounding deep bass is in more my style though. But I can't deny it that his new style is good :D/>

to all the people sying tha rh is abandoning the vinyl jukies you must not understand final scratch. You still have to go to the music store buy vinyl or in his case get it sent to him. From there you still have to put it onto your comp. this is long process.
All that he is doing is pushing the envelope and doing on the spot re-edits of existing music. He is stepping away from the juke dj into the new age dj. Many are following in his footsteps...Chris liebings, digweed, Josh wink and many others.
Innovator and legend of the techno scene.
Not a vinyl disser.

sorry but i really cant get into all the minimal stuff like minus..it doesnt have any "go" to it..

Where is the energy, i dont go out to stroke my chin and do a bit of nodding..much the same way with my sets..

Yes Richie has done amazing things and can blow the roof off at clubs...but not for me im afraid..its all about the party..and the music that fuses that!!

Old Hawtin, please.
From 1989, when he used to play magnificent sets (like the one of Power 96 FM).
