So what does everyone think, has his ego gotten so big there's no turning back or will he be remembered in a 100 years for revolutionising electronic music.

I have to agree to this one.
His old style with the pounding deep bass is in more my style though. But I can't deny it that his new style is good :D/>

All that he is doing is pushing the envelope and doing on the spot re-edits of existing music. He is stepping away from the juke dj into the new age dj. Many are following in his footsteps...Chris liebings, digweed, Josh wink and many others.
Innovator and legend of the techno scene.
Not a vinyl disser.

funny to call his "harder" style his old style? His old style to me is kind what he does now very deep dark minimal.. that's the OLDSKOOL hawtin to me, The new NEW hawtin who was playing hardtechno.. i am realy happy that he left :)/>

Where is the energy, i dont go out to stroke my chin and do a bit of nodding..much the same way with my sets..
Yes Richie has done amazing things and can blow the roof off at clubs...but not for me im afraid..its all about the party..and the music that fuses that!!

From 1989, when he used to play magnificent sets (like the one of Power 96 FM).
