He's shouting his mouth off about how great he is at the moment and i'd tend to agree with him. However i know a lot of people think he's just as concerned with his haircut as he is with his mixing.

So what does everyone think, has his ego gotten so big there's no turning back or will he be remembered in a 100 years for revolutionising electronic music.

Who gives a shit about his haircut?! It's music I care about..
And I've always liked his input in e-µsic... being faster techno or minimal..
-> so 'Legend either way'

the man is a true ledgend in all he does.. an absolute pioneer of techno, be it minimal or not. look at his last 3 albums, using all sorts of machines, drum machines, effects pedal, ableton all in harmony. he is the reason i started liking techno and my taste had developed along with his style. dont get me wrong i love the hawtin of old but i think the new one is as good.. who gives a fuck about his haircut.. the man can dj. better than any other.

He's always been in the frontlines of techno, in constant evolution. Every album he made was special in a way. I don't like all of his stuff - like minus orange and I think some tracks are maybe all little bit 'easy' but then again, that's his style and it never sounds cheap ! I love the way he's constantly trying to incorporate new machines in his dj-setup. And his chirurgical precision !

a legend for sure in my eyes. I think you might be right about the ego. I seems to be getting bigger, but then again i don't have to like the guy to like his music right?

he is the one innovator of the scene, bad haircut or not! His music is what cares for me!!!

I always get 'lost' is his sets.... they go so deep..

For me he is the god of techno - but I agree, even Hawtin has his bad days - minimal or hard!

Hope to see him soon at the album lounche at Paradiso - Amsterdam
